Welcoming our 2020 summer interns!

For the next 10 weeks, Katie (front left), Alex (back center), Emma (front center) and Max (right) will be working alongside Carol, Lauren, Jonathan and myself to deepen their knowledge and understanding of finance and economics.

We’ve made the decision to proceed with this program in the office this summer, not as the “new normal” but simply as normal. We recognize, as difficult as change may be, it’s constant and we have a responsibility to adapt and work through it. Managing risks, both personal and financial, is part of life.

They’ll each be working on analyzing sectors that have been affected by the virus, evaluating businesses in the Tri-Valley and sharing their insights with our Investment Committee along the way.

This fall all of them will return as incoming sophomores. Katie Murphy is at Middlebury College where she is studying Economics and Chinese. Alex Lavoie is at UC Berkeley studying Business, Emma Garman is at Georgetown University studying Finance and Accounting, and Max Stubbs is at The University of Chicago studying Economics and Mathematics.

We’re looking forward to their contributions to the firm and equipping them with a skill set that will be an asset to them professionally. Please join us in welcoming Katie, Alex, Emma and Max to the Mirador team for the summer!
