Don Garman is an investment professional with more than 25 years of experience. As a veteran portfolio manager, Don has advised clients on a wide range of issues from legacy and estate planning services to investment analysis, portfolio selection, and liability management. Don has earned the prestigious designations of Certified Financial Planner® practitioner, Certified Investment Management Analyst® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.
Prior to Mirador Capital Partners, Don worked for Morgan Stanley as Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, and Portfolio Management Director in The Garman Group. Earlier in his career, Don was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where he began his career in 1992. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992, Don received specialized training in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management.
Don is a co-founder of Tri-Valley Ventures, the Tri-Valley’s first venture capital firm, which seeks to shape and cultivate the region’s venture ecosystem. Don is very active in the Tri-Valley area and supports many community organizations, including The First Tee of the Tri-Valley, The George Archer Foundation, and the Livermore Valley Wine Growers Foundation. He also serves as President of the Tri-Valley Cal (UC-Berkeley) Alumni Club. He lives in Pleasanton with his wife Mindy and their two children, Emma and Scott.
Carol is an investment professional with 19 years of experience. Prior to changing careers in 1998, Carol owned and operated her own company for 16 years, serving as the Chief Financial Officer. Carol understands the needs of business owners and families, and works with them to simplify their financial picture. She works with clients to collaborate with their tax and legal advisors for efficient implementation of their goals and plans. Carol has earned the prestigious designation of Certified Financial Planner® professional, Certified Investment Management Analyst, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. She is a member of the firm's Investment Committee.
Prior to Mirador Capital Partners, Carol was a Financial Advisor, Associate Vice President in The Garman Group at Morgan Stanley. Carol began her career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in 1999, building her own practice until joining The Garman Group in 2006 at Merrill Lynch.
Carol actively gives to her community through her 24 years of service in the Castro Valley Rotary Club where she is a Past President, having held the position for 2016-2017. Carol has also served on the Board of Directors of the San Leandro Boys and Girls Club and the Eden Medical Center Foundation. Her passions include dancing, gardening, cooking, traveling and Bible study. Carol graduated from Cal State East Bay, and is the mother of two sons, Don Garman and Howard Wikle.
Dan Murray is an advisor at Mirador Capital Partners and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee.
He advises individuals, families and assists companies with their retirement plans. Since 1995, Dan Murray has been actively involved in investment management and the capital markets. Prior to Mirador Capital Partners, Dan worked at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in The Garman Group. Earlier in his career, Dan was a General Partner for the Manzanita Fund, LP, where he managed a portfolio of equities and ETFs. Dan also served as a Managing Partner of the broker-dealer MasterBlaster Trading Company, LLC. For the firm, he made markets in equity and index options on The Pacific Exchange, as well as the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
Dan is deeply engaged in his community. He is involved in the Northern California Chapter of the University of Colorado's Alumnae Association, where he graduated cum laude in History and Sociology. He is a long-time member of the Mill Valley Historical Society, served as a coordinator of the Mill Valley Soccer Club's Recreational League and coached in the Mill Valley Little League. Since 2010, he has served on the Board of Trustees of the Mount Tamalpias School, where he is also an alumnus. He was the co-chairman of Save our Trails, where he successfully lead a community effort in Mill Valley, CA to preserve the town's heritage Steps, Paths and Lanes.
Lauren Moone is an Executive Vice President with Mirador Capital Partners and has been providing investment advice to high net worth individuals, families and institutions for 12 years. She additionally chairs Mirador's Investment Committee and is a member of the firm's Management Committee.
Prior to her time at Mirador, Lauren served as the Director of Investments at First Republic Bank where she oversaw $2 billion of fiduciary investment portfolios. Prior to First Republic, Lauren advised ultra-high net worth families and foundations on portfolio construction, asset allocation and manager selection at independent advisory firms Harris, myCFO and Brownson, Rehmus and Foxworth.
She is a native of Seattle, Washington and moved to California to attend Claremont McKenna College, where she graduated with a degree in Economics and Accounting. Lauren is a CFA® charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certificant. Lauren currently resides in Pleasanton, California with her husband and three children. She enjoys snowboarding, waterskiing, playing the piano and cheering on the 49ers.
Audrey has more than 25 years of financial services and real estate experience. Audrey is responsible for the daily operations of the firm as well as trading, compliance, and human resources. In addition, as a Certified Financial Planner, she provides financial planning for clients. She also leads the firm's Women's Investment Education initiative and involvement in the community.
Prior to Mirador, Audrey worked for Morgan Stanley as a Relationship Manager in The Garman Group. She has Series 7, Series 66 and State of California Insurance licenses and earned the prestigious designation as Certified Financial Planner® professional. Audrey is a member of the firm's Management Committee.
A native of Pleasanton, Audrey currently serves as the Director of the Tri-Valley Cal Alumni Group,is past-Treasurer for the Women's Council of Realtors, and actively volunteers as a member of Pleasanton North Rotary and other local community groups. She is also a 2010 graduate of the Leadership Pleasanton program. A graduate of the University of the Pacific, Audrey lives in Pleasanton with her two children, Scott and Elise.
Adrian Jones has spent over two decades in strategy and finance. Since 2005, Adrian has been focused on driving growth for well-known financial services firms. At Mirador he is responsible for leading and driving a variety of strategic initiatives to improve and expand the firm’s offerings and services. He is a member of the Management Committee and the Investment Committee.
Adrian received his bachelor’s degree from Occidental College, majoring in Diplomacy & World Affairs, and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Most recently Adrian was Vice President, Head of Channel Strategy for Charles Schwab Investment Management. During his time there, he also led product management for Schwab ETFs. Prior to Schwab, Adrian worked for BlackRock’s iShares division, leading distribution strategy for the private wealth management and bank channels. Adrian has also worked for Wells Fargo Wealth Management, Deloitte and a boutique consulting firm he co-founded.
Adrian is a passionate adoptee advocate and he volunteers for My Hoodie Project, a biological family research firm. He also volunteers for the American Heart Association and is a Board Member for Via Heart Project. In addition, Adrian is active in his community, raising money for the local school foundation as well as coaching soccer for the San Anselmo Recreation Department.
Adrian is a boomerang of sorts. Born in Marin, his family moved outside Denver when he was four. In 2006 he returned to Marin settling down in San Anselmo with his wife, daughter and son.
Jonathan is a Co-Portfolio Manager with Mirador Capital Partners. He is responsible for covering many of the publicly traded companies headquartered in the Tri-Valley, as well as broader-level investment and market research. He has a strong passion for evaluating imperfect-information situations of all kinds to identify high-reward low-risk opportunities. Jonathan is a member of the firm's Investment Committee.
Before joining Mirador, Jonathan worked in mid-market software merchant banking, where he supported in the execution of M&A transactions and private investment initiatives. Jonathan graduated with a double major from Purdue University in 2013.
Jonathan lives with his wife and their dog, Potato, in Union City, and is an avid pool and poker player.
Daniel is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Business. He is responsible for marketing and many day-to-day operations at Mirador. He works closely with Don and Audrey to organize events for the Tri-Valley Cal Alumni Club.
Daniel lives in Livermore where he is able to appreciate the Tri-Valley for its proximity to world class wineries. Daniel enjoys spending his time off traveling, bike riding, reading and pursuing novel dining experiences.
Jessica Standlee is a Client Service Associate at Mirador. She is responsible for ongoing care of our clients’ accounts, maintaining relationships with our many third party partners, and is advancing her already refined understanding of trust and estate management.
Jessica is a certified makeup artist and was formerly in charge of managing a large, well-known Bay Area restaurant. She grew up in Pleasanton, and currently lives in the Tri-Valley with her adorable son, Logan.
Sean Cook is a graduate of University of California, San Diego where he earned a major in Communications and a minor in Business, with an emphasis in Marketing. In his role as a Client Service Associate, Sean is responsible for account maintenance, trading and expert knowledge of our performance reporting software, Black Diamond.
Prior to Mirador, Sean worked in the medical device recruitment field, where he was eager to negotiate on his clients' behalf in order to satisfy their requests.
After a collegiate career in track and field, Sean now spends his free time training for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments, cooking a variety of dishes and broadcasting digital media. Sean looks forward to becoming well acquainted with all Mirador clients.
